This year, the team of the wezi-lit business unit succeeded in developing a new adhesive and sealing compound for calcium silicate boards with a temperature resistance of up to 1000°C.
This product is especially suitable for gluing, jointing, sealing, fixing and repairing calcium silicate boards. The calcium silicate boards are used, among others, in the construction of fireplaces and tiled stoves. In order to fix and seal the boards in the desired places, a heat-resistant adhesive is required which contains sufficient moisture during processing to achieve an optimum adhesion with the highly absorbent calcium silicate boards.
The main advantage of the wezi-lit adhesive for calcium silicate boards compared to conventional solutions is that this adhesive is supplied ready for use and is sedimentation-free, so that no further mixing or stirring is necessary before processing can start. This guarantees an optimum adhesive strength at all times during the processing and also saves valuable working time. If the entire delivery quantity is not directly processed, the remaining quantity can be stored in the airtight resealed delivery bundle and processed for up to 12 months.
The whitish adhesive from wezi-lit for calcium silicate boards is available in different sizes of containers.
